Author Guidelines
- The journal "Mathematical Notes of NEFU" accepts for publication articles containing new results in mathematics, mechanics, and computer science. Articles that have been previously published or submitted to other publications are not considered. The Editorial Board reserves the right to decline consideration of a submission if it does not align with the journal's scope.
- Publication in the journal is free of charge for authors. Submissions are accepted exclusively via the website: https://mzsvfu.ru
- By submitting a manuscript, the author(s) grant the publisher, free of charge, the exclusive right to use the article or any part thereof (if accepted for publication) for the entire term of copyright as stipulated by the current legislation of the Russian Federation. This right applies in all countries where copyright is protected under international treaties to which the Russian Federation is a party. The rights include, but are not limited to: reproduction, distribution, public display, making available to the public, translation into foreign languages (and the exclusive right to use the translated work in the aforementioned ways), and the right to grant these rights to third parties. Simultaneously with the manuscript, the author(s) must submit a signed license agreement for the use of the scientific work in the journal. A template agreement is emailed to the authors upon notification of the article's acceptance for publication.
- To be considered for publication, a submission must include the manuscript text, not exceeding 1.5 author's sheets (18 journal pages), written in Russian or, by agreement with the editorial office, in English. A cover letter must accompany the submission, stating that the article is intended for "Mathematical Notes of NEFU," and providing author information including full name, complete postal address for correspondence, place of employment, detailed professional address, email address, and phone number. Articles exceeding 1.5 author's sheets are generally not considered and may only be accepted for review and published by a special decision of the Editorial Board.
- Manuscripts must be prepared using the LaTeX typesetting system and submitted as both PDF and TeX source files.
- The article must begin with a UDC (Universal Decimal Classification) and/or MSC (Mathematics Subject Classification) index. It must be accompanied by an abstract of at least 100 words, preferably without formulas, and a list of keywords. The abstract and keywords must be provided in both Russian and English.
- The list of references is placed at the end of the text. Citations in the text should be numbered consecutively in the order of appearance and enclosed in square brackets. References to unpublished works are discouraged. Bibliographic entries must adhere to standard requirements (examples can be found in recent issues of the journal).
- The journal conducts peer review of all submitted materials relevant to its thematic scope for expert evaluation. All reviewers are recognized specialists in the subject matter of the reviewed materials and have publications on the topic of the reviewed article within the last 3 years. Review reports are kept by the editorial office for 5 years.
- Manuscripts accepted for consideration undergo anonymous peer review. Based on the review, the Editorial Board makes a decision regarding publication, which is communicated to the author. The author has the right to respond to the reviewer's comments and raise objections. The Editorial Board's subsequent decision on the manuscript is final.
- The editorial office provides authors with copies of review reports or a substantiated rejection notice. It also undertakes to forward copies of reviews to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation upon receipt of a corresponding official request.
- After editorial preparation and prior to publication, a proof version is sent to the author. The author is requested to review it promptly, make corrections (extensive changes differing from the approved manuscript are undesirable), and return it to the editorial office. The article is published only after the editorial office receives the proof, signed for publication by the author (all co-authors).
- In accordance with international copyright laws, the Editorial Board notifies the journal's authors of their responsibility to obtain, when necessary, written permission to use copyrighted materials such as quotations, reproduced data, illustrations, and any other materials that may be incorporated into their publications. The resulting liability for any infringement of such copyright’s rests solely with the authors. No publication fees are charged to authors or their institutions, and no remuneration is paid for published articles.
