The publication is intended for the dissemination of scientific articles by domestic and international scholars working in the fields of fundamental and applied mathematics.
The journal was founded in January 1994 under the title "Mathematical Notes of YSU." Since 2014, it has been published under its current name, "Mathematical Notes of NEFU," and sets the following objectives:
- Development of fundamental and applied research in mathematics and mechanics.
- Accumulation and dissemination of current knowledge and scientific information in these fields.
- Integration of intellectual potential with leading Russian and international research and educational centers.
- Support and development of scientific schools in mathematics, mechanics, and mathematical modeling.
Special attention of the editorial board is given to the training of highly qualified personnel in the scientific specialties 1.1.2. "Differential Equations and Mathematical Physics" and 1.2.2. "Mathematical Modeling, Numerical Methods, and Software Systems."
The publication is intended for researchers, academic staff, postgraduate and master's students. The publication frequency is 4 issues per year. Articles in Russian and English are accepted for publication.
The journal features a "Mathematical Life" section, which publishes proceedings from international and all-Russian conferences on differential equations and mathematical modeling, as well as brief communications from the intercity research seminar "Non-classical Problems of Mathematical Physics." This seminar serves as a platform for discussing current issues, bringing together scientists, students, and postgraduates from leading research centers in Russia and other countries to exchange knowledge and collaborate on solving fundamental and applied problems.
